Average
1, 2, 3 sum to 6.0000, so the average is 2.0000. 1, 2, 2 becomes 1.6667 because the fifth decimal digit is 5 or more. From 1 to 100 numbers are read.
Why this exists
An arithmetic mean gives every number the same weight. In 1, 2, 2 the value 2 is counted twice, so the mean moves toward 2.
A fifth digit of 5 or more raises the fourth digit. The fifth digit of 1.66666… is 6, so the average is 1.6667.

01How to use it
Typing 1, 2, 3 shows the average 2.0000, the sum 6.0000, and the count 3.
Spaces work too, as in 1 2 3. A line break also makes each line one number.
Copy puts the average, the sum, and the count on the clipboard. Clearing the field hides the result.

How this page works it out
This page finds an arithmetic mean. It divides the sum by the count, and both the sum and the mean are shown to four decimal places. 1, 2, 3 sum to 6.0000, so the average is 2.0000. One number is its own average. 1.5 and 2.5 sum to 4.0000, and the average is 2.0000. -1 and 1 sum to 0.0000.
A digit after the fourth decimal place that is 5 or more rounds away from zero. 1, 2, 2 sum to 5, and 5÷3 is 1.66666…, so the fifth digit is 6 and the average is 1.6667. This value is not a median. The average of 1, 2, 100 is 34.3333, while the middle number is 2. Each number is added as an integer in ten-thousandths before the division.
A comma, a space, a semicolon, or a line break splits numbers. 1,000 is one thousand, so the average of 1,000 and 250 is 625.0000. 1, 0 is 1 and 0. From 1 to 100 numbers are read, each with at most four decimal places and an absolute value up to 1,000,000. 1.23456 and 1,000,000.0001 stop. The numbers are calculated only in this browser and are not sent to a server.
